High Hopes

Guys, I’m back! From parts unknown! So let’s jump right into things, yeah? 😀

I didn’t realize we had a werewolf ghost on the lot, but then I saw that it was Olive! Nervous’s mom! Indium was asking her for a bedtime story… I’m not sure if I took enough pictures to convey it, but this was a trend throughout this play session.

Pass outs don’t count if they’re because of a ghost, right? xD

Palladium: Yes! The ghost has killed Mother! Now I am TRULY the head of this household in all ways.

I noticed that some guy I never saw before was living in a Mendeleev home, along with I think… someone from the family. : /

This is Irene Double-Barrelled-Last-Name-That-I-Forget. She lives here or something.

And… I’m pretty sure this is Niobium who is stuck in the ground? This is why I can’t remember who it is from the family who lives here. The only person we ‘saw’ was sunk in the ground and I just remember that Palli spoke with an aunt.

And two more people! I don’t know who they are or where they came from. Or why they are living with the Mendeleevs. They are nowhere on the family tree that I can find, not even connected to a love interest or something.

Niobium: You’re afraid of water and you suck!

Palladium: That’s… all you can think to say to me? I’m a criminal whom the entire town hates because I’m not into monogamy, and you decide to put down my hydrophobia?

Niobium: Um… yes?

Palladium: Well, I have a body. Bitch.

Oh, Indium. I had such high hopes for you. : /

Indium: I can’t find a bed. : (

I GAVE you a bed and set it to belong to you! >X(

Thank you, Nervous. The kid got into bed.

… this doesn’t last long. : /

Palli got asked out on a date with a vampire. He might be a coworker or something. I dunno. I think this got her to have the number of friends we needed to move up a level in charisma, though, so goodie for that.

And Indium’s skipping school so he can go to bed… *facepalm*

Luckily, Palli’s skilling. I seriously thought that the game would make her drop her ‘practice world domination speech’ action to scold the child skipping school, but Palli’s too wrapped up in her reflection to notice and/or care.

Indium: I need her to read a bedtime story.

Indium: Cool.

But Laurel glitches when Indium finally gets into bed, and teleports him out onto the lawn in his pajamas.

… also, Indium is somehow simultaneously standing on the lawn and misbehaving on the field trip at the same time.

We’re, like, graduating from a pseudo-chemistry legacy to a pseudo-quantum mechanics legacy.

Ellie: SCIENCE.

I finally ended up using the free interaction to make Indium GO TO BED.

Grawr.

Meanwhile… and, by meanwhile, I mean likely a few sim hours later… Silver is bettering herself. Unlike any of our other potential heirs, as you’ll soon see.

Except it explodes in her face so we get to play ‘how long until she showers’!

Speaking of bettering themselves, Nervous is also skilling. Except he’s skipping work to do so, so I believe that would at least even out to a zero on the productiveness scale.

Silver: Now I’m painting!

Indium: Now that I’m well-rested, I’ve developed an addiction to this stuffed doll.

Then Krypton fainted ’cause he saw a ghost.

Palladium: Ha ha! You suck!

Indium: Boo! Great-grampa made me drop my interaction to sing to Patches!

Saturday rolled around… hey! Silver’s not scorched! … and I remembered about my ‘family outing’ stipulation, so we went to the gym. Palli needs her body points.

Cadmium: This is the first time I showed up in this post. : /

Good behavior doesn’t get recognized as much as bad behavior… *cough* INDIUM *cough*

Cadmium: You posted pictures of Silver skilling!

Well… um… *cough* Moving on!

Nervous decides to check out the window…

Nervous: Do you ever get the feeling that someone is outside the window, taking pictures of us and then posting them online with snide comments under them?

Palladium: Wait… dad… you WEREN’T aware that was happening?

Yttrium ran on the treadmill enough that I could visibly see a small difference from the launcher-thing where you pick the saved game. It amused me more than it should have, clicking between the two.

I also just noticed that Yttrium used to wear glasses but she’s not wearing them now. Oops.

Silver: I’m bettering myself! Aren’t I better than Indium? I can still be heir!

That’s not my decision. And speaking of Indium…

Indium: WHOO HOO DOLL YOU ARE THE BEST.

At least Cadmium is doing homework! He’s like my new favorite twin or something.

Cadmium: … you called me by the wrong name all last chapter.

Hushh… I edited it so you have to pretend that’s how it always was. That’s how retcons work.

Palladium: Ooh, attractive sim alert!

I hope that moodlet is for the disembodied fairy wings, and not someone in your family.

Disembodied fairy wings turns out to be dating Palladium’s aunt, or something like that, so he is a no go for romantic endeavors.

Cadmium… nooooo…

*makes a point of disposing of IFs as soon as possible*

Nervous finds a guitar and jams out while Silver dances!

Cadmium: Well, I’m out.

*snatches his IF while it’s in the inventory* MWAHAHA!

 

For some reason Palladium gets an opportunity to do some graffiti in town for money, so we do a small mural in the gym. Because Palli’s skill is pretty low in street art and I can’t see why someone would want to shell out 1000 simoleons for her work. But we’re not complaining.

Silver: Isn’t that, like, wildly illegal?

Palladium: Yeah, but I’m also level seven or something in the criminal career, and may or may not have killed multiple people… which isn’t to say I’m not sure if I killed them, just that the less you know, the less you can say in court. 🙂

Silver: … I’m going home now.

YES! That is SLIGHTLY more interesting than playing with a doll!

Cadmium: Psh. He plays with toys. I CREATE them.

Cadmium was the first one I caught to get the Jack that WASN’T birthed from the night terrors of Baby Satan, so that’s special. I guess.

Palladium invited her boss over to regenerate relationship points that were lost when she accidentally screwed up and let Dirk Daring get away. I think he was the one to start flirting, but I’m not 100% sure here.

Boss-Dude: Palladium, you remind me of a cloudy day, in the best possible way. A sunny day would kill me, after all.

Palladium: Oh, yes… you are my one and only… *ignores like nine other romantic interests*

It seems that one of his traits is coward.
